Credit Reporting Agencies: How They Work
Credit Score Table
Credit payment history of any cardholder is recorded in a credit report. These reports are maintained by credit bureaus also known as credit reporting agencies. They gather all the necessary information from banks, lenders, and other organizations and provide this information to businesses and cardholders.
There are three major credit bureaus - TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax. Once you want to check your credit report, you should contact a credit bureau. Through the federal law, every US cardholder has a right to get a free copy of his/her credit report from any of major credit bureaus once a year. You may order it by the phone, or via the Internet.
