AmEx Launches Premium Airmiles Credit Cards

American Express, one of the leading U.S. credit card issuers, and Delta Air Lines have announced the launch of new premium airmiles credit cards for American consumers and small business owners: Delta Reserve Credit Card and Delta Reserve for Business Credit Card. They come with added value and expanded rewards program. The new plastics have become the most elite credit cards in the line of AmEx and Delta co-branded products.

American Express and Delta have had long-term relationships. Delta was one of the first participants in the Amex Membership Miles Program in 1991. Five years later, they joined forces to launch the co-branded Delta SkyMiles Credit Card which enabled consumers to earn free Delta tickets. Nowadays there is a full line of valuable co-branded credit cards - from no annual fee plastics to business credit cards. The introduction of Delta Reserve Credit Cards will expand the partnership of Amex and Delta.

The new credit cards come with a new improved air miles rewards program. The customers will be able to earn Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs): 15 thousand MQMs and 15 thousand bonus miles when the expenses reach $30,000 in a calendar year and additional 15 thousand MQMs and 15 thousand bonus miles when the expenses reach $60,000 within the same year. The card holders will also accumulate MQMs as a first purchase bonus. And a great advantage of that program is the opportunity to share MQMs with your family and friends. So if you want to help your parents save on travel expenses, just offer them your bonus miles.

The Medallion Qualification Miles can be redeemed for any available Delta seats. All you need is to visit the official Delta website and book tickets online. There are no blackout dates. You can also use Delta SkyMiles to pay fully or partially for Delta tickets. Since Delta Air Lines provides flights to 306 destinations in 58 countries, you will have a wide choice of countries and cities to visit.

Besides air miles rewards, the customers will have access to the Breezeway priority boarding lane, frequent traveler security line, Delta Crown Room Clubs (you can take two guests) and a 24/7 concierge services. You can ask them to buy a gift or make a restaurant reservation for you. Add to the list of benefits a complimentary companion certificate you can receive once a year on your anniversary. It can be used for First or Coach Class flight.

Delta Reserve for Business Credit Card has the same benefits as Delta Reserve Credit Card. However, there are some additional options and services specially designed for small business owners. They will be able to create annual and monthly reports, track expenses online and set limits on additional cards for employees. It will help them to manage the business expenditures more efficiently.

New credit cards have an annual fee of $450. It can seem to be a great amount. However, if you look at the array of benefits, you will see that their total cost is much more - for example, only Delta Crown Room Clubs access price starts from $400. So if you want to apply for Delta Reserve Credit Cards, evaluate all positives and negatives of the credit cards. It will help you to make a right decision.
